Are you a fan of the famous Big Mac? Yeah, we are too. But sometimes that Big Mac can be just a bit too big with its middle bun. That’s okay, we can do without.
My guys are such comedians. When these burgers were on the menu, Hubby mentioned to Kiddo as they drove home from work that it was Burger Night. Kiddo walked through the door, looked at me and asked “So, what’s the catch?” He was really asking what weird thing had I done to the burgers. I told him no catch – just a Big Mac without the middle bun.
These were awesome! Filling, messy and just plain good. Served up with some oven fries and chocolate shakes, it was like dining out at home. Yum!
Big King Burger
The King’s Sauce
1/2 cup Mayonnaise
2 tablespoons French Dressing
1 tablespoon Sweet Pickle Relish
1 teaspoon White Vinegar
1 teaspoon Granulated Sugar
To Make the Sauce
Mix all the ingredients for the sauce together in a small bowl. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
The King’s Burger
1 1/3 cups Shredded Lettuce
1/4 White Onion, sliced
8 frozen Quarter-Pound Burger Patties
Hamburger Seasoning to taste
4 Sesame Seed Hamburger Buns
8 slices American Cheese
12 Dill Pickle Chips
To Make the Burgers
Stack lettuce leaves. Roll into a cigar, slice to create shredded leaves. Shake to separate into ribbons. Set aside.
Peel and slice into 4 slices. Break the slices into rings. Set aside.
Gather all the makings for your burgers and get ready to grill.

Heat a charcoal or gas grill to high heat. Season burgers as desired. Grill frozen burgers to desired doneness, about 2 or 3 minutes per side. Place cheese over the patties to melt. Keep warm until ready to assemble.
Brush buns with a little butter or olive oil. Toast on a griddle until golden.
To Assemble the Burgers
Spread 2 tablespoons sauce on top bun and then place 1/3 cup lettuce evenly over sauce.
On bottom bun, spread more sauce. Place burger patties, one on top of the other, on the bottom bun. Follow this with 3 onion slices and then 3 pickle Chips.

Finish with top bun. Serve and enjoy.

I bet they were so much better!
