Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 by Henry Timms at the 92nd Street Y in New York. The point of the day is once we’re done with Black Friday and Cyber Monday, that we reach down and give a little during the Holidays.
There are particular groups associated with the original Giving Tuesday movement such as the United Nations Foundation, Blackbaud, Global Giving and the Network for Good. Many of these organizations in turn donate to UNICEF, Save the children and others.
I wonder, if had to give as much on Giving Tuesday as we had spent on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, would our giving increase or our shopping decrease? Naturally no one is every required to give. The whole point of giving to those in need comes from the heart. Not everyone can write a big, fat check to Charity. Yet most of us have something to give, even if it’s just a little of our time and talents.
Today is also National French Toast Day. We all have our favorite recipes for French Toast. But then again, we do not live by French Toast alone. This pull apart is a lot like a Fatata, but more dense and filling. Oh, and in case you were wondering, yes – Hubby liked it including all that cheese. Hope you enjoy!
Spicy Bacon Biscuit Pull-Aparts
7 thick slices Bacon
Cooking Spray
4 tablespoons Butter
2 Green Onions
1 tube Pillsbury Grand Biscuits
1/2 cup Habanero White Cheddar Cheese
1/2 cup Pepper Jack Cheese
3 Eggs
Heat oven to 350-degrees. Spray a Bundt Pan generously with cooking spray. Place the butter inside the pan, then warm the pan and melt the butter in the oven as it heats. Once the butter has melted, remove the pan. Give it a swirl to coat in the butter, then set aside.

Stack bacon, cut in half lengthwise, then dice into small pieces. Cook bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat until crispy, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

Trim and slice green onions, set aside. Separate the biscuits, cut into quarters. Shred both cheeses. Lightly beat eggs in a mixing bowl. Add the biscuits along with most of the cheeses, bacon and green onions to the mixing bowl with the eggs. With clean hands, mix everything together.

Pour the biscuit mixture into the pan, spreading out evenly. Sprinkle remaining green onions, bacon and cheese over the top.

Bake in the heated oven for about 26 minutes or until golden and cooked through. Remove from oven, run a dull knife around the edge of the pan to loosen.

Turn pull-apart out onto a plate. If it sticks, no worries (mine did). Simply flip over, with the pretty side up. Pull apart and enjoy.

Give glory and eternal praise to Him
