Today is National Ice Cream Sandwich Day. Who doesn’t like an ice cream sandwich? I thought, let’s make one ourselves.
And so off I went in search of Ice Cream Sandwich recipes. There are oodles and oodles of recipes – some very complicated, others easier. One says take a couple of graham crackers and sandwich them together with cool whip topping in the middle, then freeze. Wow – is that easy or what!
But then I remembered a few years back we turned store-bought Ice Cream Sandwiches into a quick and easy over the top Ice Cream Dessert. Hey, it’s been a few years. What do you say? Shall we do that again? Yum!!!!
Ice Cream Sandwich Sundae
1 cup Peanuts
1/2 cup Hot Fudge Sauce
1/2 cup Caramel Sauce
6 Ice Cream Sandwiches
1 can Whipped Cream
1 jar Maraschino Cherries
Chop nuts, set aside. Warm hot fudge in the microwave according to label directions, set aside. Warm Caramel Sauce according to label directions, set aside.
Unwrap ice cream sandwiches, place on individual dessert plates. Shake that can of whipped cream, squirt over the top of each sandwich. Drizzle hot fudge and caramel sauces over the whip topped sandwiches, allowing sauce to drizzle out over the plate in a whimsical fashion. Sprinkle with chop nuts, top with cherries. Serve and enjoy.
Lord, in your great love, answer me.
