The world seems to be changing. Some see it as a very scary place. Who wants to bring children into this crazy, upside down world? Instead of living in fear and dread, why not look at this as a time of opportunity?
I, The Lord Of Sea And Sky,
I Have Heard My People Cry.
All Who Dwell In Dark And Sin,
My Hand Will Save.
I Who Made The Stars Of Night,
I Will Make Their Darkness Bright.
Who Will Bear My Light To Them?
Whom Shall I Send?
Here I Am Lord, Is It I, Lord?
I Have Heard You Calling In The Night.
I Will Go Lord, If You Lead Me.
I Will Hold Your People In My Heart.
While this might not be the Tribulations, it is a very difficult time for people of faith. We have all heard the warning of false prophpets. Believe you me when I say through social media they are out in full force. I’m not going to name names, but one of the biggest false movements is that of Prosperity Preaching. Does the Lord want us, His children, to lead an abundant life? Absolutely! Abundant in His graces. Abundant in His mercy. Abundant in His love. But not in the wealth and power of this existance. And in reality, the only ones truly reaping wealth and power from preaching Prosperity are the preachers.
Show me where it is written in the Bible that if you follow Christ, you will have an easy road? Where is the warm and fuzzy message of Jesus? With the exception of John, none of His apostles died mercifully. They were put to death for speaking the truth. Now more than every before, those of us who are “enlightened” need to speak up. Not in anger or hate, but with compassion and understanding. Only then will we bring about true and lasting change. Only when the hearts of man turn from the sins of vanity, greed, lust – you get the idea. It’s a matter of not allowing the persuit of worldly possessions separate us from our relationship with our creator. He must come first in all things. It’s that simple.
To every season there is a beauty from above. Autumn is my favorite season of all because the world is wrapped in huges of amber and gold. It simmers and seems to not only warm but quiet the soul. Count your blessings, big and small. For God loves you as He loves us all.
