Today is National Fettuccini Alfredo Day. That means today is suppose to be all about the Fettuccini, right? That would make sense.

Mai Tai Fridays
What’s that – June is over? Wow, hard to believe. Today is more than just the last day in June, it’s National Mai Tai Day. And a Friday – that’s a double blessing!

Many of you probably have never heard of the Nugget Market. It’s not a big change, although they have expanded from their humble beginnings. The father-and-son team of William and Mack Stille opened their humble little market in the sleepy town of Woodland California in September of 1926. The premise behind their store was to deliver the best possible produce at prices their neighbors could afford. Lemon-Garlic Mahi-Mahi with Pan Seared Asparagus
I love one-skillet suppers, don’t you? The original recipe is one I picked up at delish.com. Their recipe was for the Mahi-Mahi only. Adding the asparagus to the same pan transformed this delicious fish dinner to a one-skillet wonder. Quick, easy and oh so satisfying. Mahi-Mahi Burgers
The first time I had a Mahi-Mahi Burger was during a visit to Bloody Mary’s Bar and Grill in Bora Bora. It was the most incredible fresh-caught fish burger I had ever tasted. Hubby and I so loved these burgers that we made it a point to have lunch there at least once during our visits to the island. We simply could not get enough of them. While we have since sampled other Mahi Burgers, none compares to the ones you can get at Bloody Mary’s. The only way I know of to get the real deal is to board a plane and head to the beautiful South Pacific island of Bora Bora.
Pan-Roasted Glazed Mahi-Mahi with Pineapple Fried Rice
Way back when, in another life, I was introduced to Mahi-Mahi. It really didn’t seem to matter how it was prepared – each dish was different from any other Mahi-Mahi I had ever tasted. I so loved the Mahi-Mahi in this prior life, that I looked for it every day. The fish itself was superior in flavor and texture with meat that was firm and sweet, with just the right amount of flake. It became the Mahi-Mahi by which all others are compared and fail to measure up to expectations. To be honest, it’s not a very fair comparison. My first introduction to Mahi-Mahi was on the island of Bora-Bora, so beautiful they named it twice.
