The first Saturday of every month is supposed to be National Play Outside Day. I’ve used this for inspiration when I haven’t found anything else to talk about. Personally, I find it funny that this generation needs to be reminded to play outside. My generation, and those before me, certainly didn’t need a reminder.

That is not to say that Saturdays are pointless, but rather that every once in a while, a Saturday should be void of chores or errands or commitments of any kind. Simply enjoy the day.

Today is National Play Outside Day. It seems that whoever it is (those mysterious unknown powers that be) who decide these things have designated the first Saturday of every month National Play Outside Day. I find that amazing. Growing up, we would have needed a National Stay Inside Day since every day was a day to play outside.
