Welcome to September

Although a day late, I’ve got our tables all decked out for September.

I know what you are thinking, with all the controversy surrounding sports in America these days, especially the NFL, why a football table? Football isn’t just the NFL or politics or all that other “junk”. It’s a Friday night in America once upon a time when life was simple. It’s sipping hot cider and showing school spirit. It’s your son or daughter in the marching band. It’s America when we were still innocent and believed in all things good.

September should be tail gating and wholesome fun and fair competition. Maybe if we stop making every little thing about the bad in the world and started to see the good in people, we can get back to a civilized society. And I don’t mean a “white” society. I mean a world where we see the good in one another and not the color of a person’s skin or orientation or any of a thousand other labels we’ve assigned. Labels don’t identify, they seperate.

For what it’s worth, that’s my rant for September.
