Once upon a time my favorite thing to eat at McDonalds was from their breakfast menu. Hubby and I tend to not eat fast food all that often, except when traveling. It’s just a matter of convenience rather than a craving for a Big Mac.

As many of you know, I am a huge fan of Eggs Benedict. I’m not sure if it’s the richness of the broken yolk dripping down onto the plate or the buttery-creaminess of a perfect Hollandaise Sauce that gets my motor running.
Saturday Morning Breakfast Sandwich
How is the weather fairing in your neck of the woods? I ask because we’ve been having an unusually warm, dry end to winter. Maybe a sprinkle here and there, but for the most part dry, with temperatures in the upper 60s or low 70s during the day, if you can believe that. Hubby has already started preparing our garden beds for an earlier than usual planting of tomatoes.

Sunday I woke before the first golden threads of morning light kissed the sky. I woke hungry. It had been my intention to make blueberry scones with Double Devon Cream. While Clotted Cream would have been nice, it’s not a type of cream found here in America unless you have the time, the skill and the cow to make it yourself.

Sandwich Thin Fried Egg and Sausage Sandwich
Have you ever had one of those Special-K Sandwich Thin Breakfast Sandwiches. They are surprisingly good – especially for a pre-made breakfast. Super convenient – just zap in a microwave for about 2 minutes total. No fuss, no muss and best of all no mess. It’s great.
