Simple is Simply Delicious

Recently when Hubby and I were shopping for the week, we needed to get some thinly sliced smoke turkey for a recipe. We stopped at the deli counter – $12.99 a pound – are you kidding me?

It’s Another Wild and Crazy Wednesday!

Welcome to another Wild and Crazy Wednesday in my house. Actually, on our meal planner (yeah, I think ahead) Wednesdays are Wildcard. That means anything goes. Wherever the wind blows me or my taste buds carry me, that’s what’s on the menu. Sometimes I feel like throwing a dart at a board filled with recipe cards just to see where it lands. If this is the Spring Equinox, Is it Sandwich Time?

Welcome to spring! Spring and fall are my two most favorite times of the year. Both for the same reason. Color. Breezy days. And the foods of these seasons change.

The Magic is in the Basil

If memory serves me correctly, the first time I ever had a Croissant was not as a dessert but as the bread for a sandwich. I don’t know what it is about taking cold meats and slapping it inside a Croissant that makes it seem more elegant, top drawer if you will.
