Ember Wednesday and National Tortilla Chip Day
The fact that today is National Tortilla Chip Day should be self explanatory. It’s a day set aside to celebrate the crunchy snack loved by millions. Tortilla chips with a big bowl of salsa or guacamole are the most common ways to celebrate the day. Using Tortillas Chips as a base for Nachos is another. And then there are those creative dishes that use Tortilla Chips as a breading to add a salty crunch to various foods.

Hey, we are on a roll with our Tortilla Chips now. If you aren’t going to dip the chips, when why not build a big tray of Nachos? Especially if your Tortillas Chips are freshly made at the market rather than a big bag of mass-produced chips. Thin and salty and oh so good!

Today is National Tortilla Chip Day. Now last year, we made our own Tortilla Chips to celebrate the day – and that was fun. My guys love it when I make our chips. But what’s the point of chips without a dip?
