Today is both the feast day of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Our Lady’s feast day is fixed on June 27, while the Sacred Heart of Jesus is tied to Pentecost Sunday, which all goes back to Easter.

The Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus falls on the Friday that follows the second Sunday after Pentecost Sunday, which is 50 days after Easter. It is the Friday following the Octave of Corpus Christi.
