The First Ember Days of Summer

Pentecost is now behind us. Ordinary Times surround us. It’s nice to take a moment honor Holy Days that have lost their luster in our modern world of convenience and yet are important from a spiritual prespective.

Gotta Love Tuesdays

Sometimes I wonder, just how many ways are there to create burritos? We have rice burritos, bean burritos, beefy burritos, pork, chicken, veggie burritos. If you can stuff it in a tortilla, you can create a burrito.

Memorial Day is Just Around the Corner

Memorial Day is meant to be a day of reflection and to honor those who gave their lives in the service of their country. Today we think less about service and more about the unofficial start to the summer season. Many flock to the waterways on Memorial Day. That’s okay.

He Ascended into Heaven

“And is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead.” These words are a part of the Apostles Creed. We recite them every Sunday when we come together to profess our faith. The Creed is recited at the beginning of every Rosary.

It’s the Real Thing

Savor Every Moment

Remember, you will not pass this way again.

While the dates and the details have yet to be worked out, this summer Hubby, Kiddo and I are taking a long, long road trip. Roughly 6,000 miles round trip through 10 or 11 states, depending upon how far south we head.
