It’s official – today is the first day of fall. Of all the seasons, I think I love Autumn best. Spring is wonderful with all it’s colors. Summer is too hot, winter too cold. Autumn is just right. Colorful, warm during the day, crisp at night. It just makes me feel all cozy inside.

Celebrating Our Lady of Fatima

Today is the Feast Day of Our Lady of Fatima. It marks the first of six monthly appearances of our Blessed Mother to three young children in Portugal. She came to the world during a time of war and upheaval. She promised peace while predicting future wars far worse than the Great War.

Nil Sine Numine

Colorado’s state motto is Latin. What does it mean? It depends upon who you ask. Most say Nothing Without Providence, while others claim Nothing Without God. There is evidence that those who chose the motto meant Nothing Without the Deity, a general translation without a reference to a particular god. Now that could be a reference to Colorado’s Garden of the Gods with its beauty beyond compare.
