Backyard Barbecue Fun

I know we’ve talked about this before; but it’s worth mentioning again. For those of us stuck at home, we need to count our blessings. Not everyone has a home to be stuck in. And not everyone has the means to put food on the table, should they have a table. If you are among the fortunate ones, while life might seem hard or unfair, we are truly blessed.

Grilled Grand Marnier Pepper Steak on a Bed of Tomatoes

There are a lot of good reasons to plant a garden, even if it’s just a hanging patio garden. Working the soil is good for you. Eating what you have grown brings satisfaction unlike any other. Every year I look forward to our tomato plants for three reasons – freshness, goodness and full flavor. If you cannot grow tomatoes, please find a good small farm. Tomatoes that are allowed to ripen naturally, that have not been bred for shipping have a flavor unlike any other.

Grilled Tequila Lime Steak

A few years back, I came across what seemed to be a quick, easy way to prepare a perfectly marinated flank steak. The recipe called for a combination of McCormick’s Grill Mate Baja Citrus Marinade to be mixed with a little oil, water, vinegar and Tequila. Stuart Anderson’s Black Angus Western Steak

Last Saturday, I shared with you an awesome recipe for Whiskey Marinated Rib Eye Steaks. Today, I’ve got another great recipe for T-Bones. The best part about June has to be all the great deals to be had for steaks. Everyone’s gearing up for Father’s Day and the stores want to lure you in with a few grilling specials. I like to take advantage of the nice weather and great deals. After all, nothing says summer better than a big steak straight off the fire.

Whiskey Marinated Rib Eye Cowboy Steak

Intercompany-AccountingRib Eye Steak has awesome flavor all on its own. Season with salt and pepper, grill it up and there you go. The most prized cut of roast is the rib eye roast which is boneless and cut from the most tender portion of the rib section. Ask any cowboy and they will say it’s gotta be Rib Eye all the way.

Asian Marinated Flat Iron Steak

In celebration of Asian-American Pacific Islander month, I have been on an Asian cooking kick.  This was inspired by a recipe for Asian Marinade Flank Steak that I picked up at justataste.com way back in June 2013. The recipes are very similar, with only a few minor adjustments.
